2021 Three Sticks, “Origin Durell Vineyard” Russian River Valley, Sonoma

This family-owned, boutique winery was founded by Bill Price III, in 2002. It now produces about 4000 cases of small-lot wine from premium vineyards in Sonoma. It is one of the few wineries in California to succeed with the trifecta of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay.

This wine displays aromas of caramelized yellow citrus with a touch of Meyer lemon. It is lean and crisp and very Chablis-like. It displays good acidity, minimal oak influence along with chalk-like minerality that keeps the palate fresh and bright.

It is definitely a good choice to accompany oysters.
