The 2022 Merlot Three Palms Vineyard is a blend of 100% estate fruit: 92% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Cabernet Franc aged 18 months in French oak. The wine opens with a medium ruby color with garnet hews that show purity in the glass. There are complex and refined aromas of dark red currant, spicy wood, anise and a hint of graphite. The palate is full bodied and layered with rich fruit setting the path for a juicy, delicious mouth-feel. The fine grained tannins are integrated and harmonious, giving this Merlot remarkable balance and length that goes on for minutes.
