The Goldeneye Pinot Noir Gowen Creek Vineyard is an incredible wine. The 2022 vintage from this estate vineyard produced a Pinot Noir that is so delicious with a complexity and richness that places this wine at the top of the list in the Anderson Valley AVA. The glistening ruby color and vibrant aromatics are stunning! Immediately you begin the experience of how serious and thoroughly enjoyable this wine is. Aromas of ripe red raspberry, baking spices, cassis, cola and a hint of pipe tobacco quickly rise from the glass. The palate is vivid with warm dark berries, a creamy core and finely grained, silky tannins. There is terrific depth and balance to this wine with refreshing acidity that wraps around the finish. It remains long, generous and is utterly memorable. I tasted this Pinot Noir twice and it showed consistent results.
