2022 Solena Pinot Gris, Willamette Valley

The name Soléna combines the Spanish and French words Solana and Soleil, celebrating the sun, the moon and cycles of life. This 80-acre estate in Oregon was established in 2000 and named Domaine Danielle Laurent vineyards. It was purchased by Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus Montalieu who gifted this vineyard to each other for their wedding and later created a wine label named Soléna after their daughter. Their site-specific wines derive from estate vineyards in Yamhill-Carlton and McMinnville AVAs, as well as iconic single vineyards around the Northwest.

The 2022 Solena Pinot Gris is a 100% varietal sourced from the Willamette Valley AVA. This is a sleekly styled, medium bodied Pinot Gris with a pale yellow hue. Hints of white peach, citrus blossoms, tangerine zest and musk melon are nicely packaged with a layer of finely mulled spices. Accentuating the fruit is a twist of delicate acidity that keeps everything in balance through the finish.
