2022 Stoller Vineyards, Nancy's Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley

Stoller Family Estate is the largest contiguous vineyard in Oregon’s Dundee Hills, comprising 400 acres, with 225 acres of vineyards.

The vineyard is divided into 108 meticulously-farmed sections at elevations ranging from 210 to 650 feet. The property features eight planted varieties: Pinot Noir (70%), Chardonnay (25%), as well as Aligoté, Gamay Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, Riesling, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Viognier.

Named after Bill Stoller’s sister, this wine is made primarily from the Pommard clone of Pinot Noir, planted in 1999. The 2022 Nancy’s Vineyard Pinot Noir greets you with gorgeous acidity, bright, invigorating, and immediately indicative of finesse. Tart cherry leads the aromatic profile, fresh and vivid, with subtle baking spice woven gently into the background. The scent speaks to clarity and precision.

The palate follows with admirable depth. The acidity is energetic yet never sharp, connecting seamlessly with the expanding mid-palate. There’s harmony here: fruit, acidity, and spice moving in sync from the first taste through the extended finish. The mid-palate adds layered dimension, reinforcing the wine’s graceful length.

Terroir expresses itself clearly through the clean lines, bright fruit, and intentional structure. The finish is long and persistent, echoing tart cherry, spice, and site driven clarity. Elegant, confident, and beautifully balanced.
