Auteur Wines was founded by Kenneth and Laura Juhasz whose pathway to Pinot began with exploring Burgundy and Europe, working harvests, and consulting in Willamette Valley, New Zealand, Napa, and Sonoma. Over the last two years Kenneth and Laura built a winery in Russian River Valley. From the hilltop, the winery offers a panoramic view of Russian River Valley located on Wohler Road outside of Healdsburg.
The Auteur Bacigalupi Chardonnay is a wonderful expression from this storied vineyard situated in the Russian River Valley. There is a wealth of aromas, textures and flavors that will satisfy the most discerning of Chardonnay lovers. The color opens with pale yellow with glistening golden hues. Aromas are ripe golden apple, lemon curd, orange blossom, buttered popcorn and a hint of toasted oak. The texture is creamy, with layers of citrus fruit, lightly toasted hazelnuts, chalky minerality, and acidity that is woven like the finest lace through to a long finish. Delicious, memorable and a thoroughly enjoyable Chardonnay.
