2023 Brandlin Estate Mount Veeder Sauvignon Blanc
Located high on the steep slopes of Mount Veeder, Brandlin Estate produces mountain grown wines of distinct character and reflective of the terroir. The estate includes 49 acres of Napa Green Certified vineyards, located 900 to 1,250 above the fog line. The growing seasons are longer on Mount Veeder resulting in concentrated, perfectly ripened fruit. Brandlin Estate is a part of the Two Estates Wine Collective, which also farms Cuvaison Winery in Los Carneros in Napa Valley.
The Brandlin Sauvignon Blanc opens with pale white gold in color. Complex aromas of lemon, cantaloupe, white spring flowers, and a hint of orange blossom, honeyed undertones and light minerality. The palate is light to medium bodied with citrus flavor profiles of grapefruit, lemon lime and a lint of saline. The mouthfeel is soft and refined, terrifically balanced, integrated acidity laying the path to an off-dry finish with a hint of oak that fades away beautifully. This Sauvignon Blanc can be served with assorted shellfish, calamari, or pasta with pesto sauce,
