Founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has been crafting classic Napa Valley wines for nearly 40 years. Duckhorn Vineyards have been crafting the Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc since 1982, and ever since, it has become a favorite for the varietal in North America. It is so elegant and inviting as an aperitif before your meal. One of the things that makes this wine exciting is each vintage will surprise and please wine tasters at every level, who will note the subtle differences based on the blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. The blend is 86% Sauvignon Blanc and 14% Semillon for additional complexity, silkiness, and depth.
The Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc takes a clear color with the subtlest tint of pale yellow. I loved the 2024 Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc’s enticing aroma of candied pineapple, guava, and a splash of fresh minerality taking me to a happy place of summer at the lake. The texture is creamy and silky, finishing smooth with a slight hint of minerality. A wonderful expression of North Coast Sauvignon Blanc.
