2023 La Crema Pinot Gris Monterey

German immigrant Henry Castens bought acreage in the late 1800’s on a wooded lot. Saralee and Richard Kundee planted the Russian River vineyard in 1979, as it was later expanded to 200 acres. When Jess Jackson bought this property in 1993, he recruited famed winemaker Dan Goldfield. Now, Craig McAllister is at the helm as the director of winemaking. La Crema has focused on crafted wines from cooler growing wine regions in Sonoma County and Oregon. La Crema has established a prominent presence within restaurants and on retail shelves.

This wine reveals a delicate yellow hue with subtle, floral aromas of star fruits. It is nicely balanced with apple blossom, spice and orchard fruits that make it immediately appealing and a crowd pleaser. It does not take itself too seriously and is a versatile and casual summer wine for patio enjoyment.
