This is the inaugural release for the Merry Edwards vineyard-designated Sauvignon Blanc from Meredith Estate. Thirty percent of this wine is aged in amphoras with the remaining in neutral French Oak Barrels. Pale-greenish in appearance this is an uber-serious Sauvignon Blanc that is reminiscent of a finely crafted Sancerre from France. This wine is extremely well focused with elements of citrus peel, lemon basil, sliced apples and lychee leading you to a path of finely chiseled minerality. It remains light on its feet with saline notes that keep your attention at every mouthwatering turn. The finish is long and sunshine bright.
