2023 Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Valley

In 1997 Merry Edwards established her winery on a 24-acre fruit orchard in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma. She created a notable style based on winegrowing, intellect and phenolic research. Merry was inducted into the CIA’s Vintners Hall of Fame in 2013. Renowned French Champagne house, Maison Louis Roederer acquired Merry Edwards Winery in 2019 and has continued her legacy, meticulously crafting exceptional Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Year in and year out this is one of the heavenly benchmarks for Sauvignon Blanc. This wine continues to overperform under the guidance of winemaker Heidi von der Mehden. Fragrant aromatics of peach and apricot blossom greet you at the entry. White tea, yellow mango, honeydew and candied citrus fill the glass with a creamy texture and accents of lemon oil at the outer edges. This Sauvignon Blanc has a richly designed mid-palate with enough freshness that continues to satisfy your craving for another vibrant sip. This is one of the premier Sauvignon Blancs on the market that is worth have plenty of for the warm summer evenings.
