Champagne Taittinger Brut Prestige Rose´

Champagne Taittinger was established in 1931 by Pierre Taittinger on the foundations of Forest-Forneaux, itself established in 1734 and the third-oldest wine producing house of Champagne. Taittinger is proprietor of approximately 600 acres of vines including parcels in the villages of Cremant and Avize in the Cote des Blancs; and parcels in Bouzy, Mailly, Ambonnay and Verzenay in the Montagne de Reims. The Taittinger Estate is one of the three most extensive in the Champagne district, and the firm's major holdings in Chardonnay vineyards are the physical expression of the Taittinger philosophy and style.

The Taittinger NV Prestige is a delicious, festive, and totally enjoyable Brut Rose´ for any special occasion. A blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Meunier, the color is a gorgeous cherry with pink hues and sparkling bubbles rising celebratory to the top of the glass. Out of the glass the beautiful aromas are clean and precise. The Pinot Noir shines through with strawberry, red raspberry, a hint of orange blossom, and that fresh baked scent you experience when standing in a patisserie. If the captivating aromas were not enough, the flavor is where this Brut Rose´really elevated my taste and senses to a whole level. I would describe it as multi-layered, creamy, beautiful mouth-feel that is slight tart on the long finish. What a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion with close friends! It would be even better to toast the Taittinger Brut Rose´ with the love of your life on Valentine’s Day!
