Col Vetoraz Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG

Col Vetoraz is situated in Stefano de Valdobbiadene, with some of the highest vineyards in Cartizze resting at an elevation of 1,300 feet above sea level. The winery was established in 1993 by winemaker Loris Dall’Acqa, agronomist Paolo De Bortoli and Francesco Miotto who is a descendant of the first family that cultivated vineyards at Col Vetoraz in 1838.

The sub-soils are clay and limestone with a yellow-bluish marl and sky blue sandstone. This Valdobbiadene Superior di Cartizze reveals a pale yellow color with a delicate mousse and a whiff of brioche. Within are concentrated yellow citrus fruits with preserved lemons, salted melon, lemon confit and blanched almonds. The layers in this wine are soft and sensual leading you along a gentle journey to a soft exit. The wine is 11.5% alcohol with 24 g/l of residual sugar.
