Ruggeri Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Brut DOCG
The Bisol family played an early role in the evolution of this winery. Viticulturist Giustino Bisol along with his cousin, Luciano Ruggeri founded this winery in 1950 continuing the family’s tradition of crafting Prosecco Superiore from Valdobbiadene. In 2017, Ruggeri formed a partnership with the Rotkäppchen-Mumm Group. Today, leadership of the company is under the guidance of Paolo, Giustino’s son and granddaughter, Isabella.
This Valdobbiadene Superior di Cartizze is a blend of 85% Glera grapes with the remaining 15% from other white local grape varieties. It is 11.5% alcohol with 8 g/l of residual sugar. This evocative sparkler has a pale yellow brilliance with an explosive heavenly bouquet of lilacs, peonies and rose petals. There are tropical inflections of freshly picked red fruits with macerated Bing Cherries, wild strawberries and cassis that coat your palate with pleasure. The juicy mid-palate is expansive with a lovely freshness that adds richness and dimension with every sip. The refined and fruit driven flavors flow gracefully into a long and gratifying finish. There is a beautiful craftsmanship to this wine.
